TEAM COMPANIES ANNOUNCES NEW ADDITION TO IOWA DATA CENTER
Casey’s General Stores, Inc. Selects Des Moines-Area Facility for Data Storage

TEAM Companies, a leader in world-class data center development, has announced the addition of Casey’s General Stores, Inc., to its new Des Moines-area data center. Casey’s, a convenience store company that operates stores in nine Midwestern states, including Iowa, selected the new TEAM Technologies Data Center for its data storage needs and began the data transition process in March.

Casey’s selected the new data center just months after TEAM Technologies celebrated the grand opening of the $15 million first phase of the facility in January. “Casey’s will benefit from the world-class Tier III security and safe location that the TEAM Technologies Data Center provides,” said Mark Kittrell, Vice President of Business Development for TEAM Companies. “This data center is built to protect vital information and virtually eliminate the chance of catastrophic failure. Upon completion of all three phases of construction, it will achieve one-of-a-kind classification as a “fail-safe” facility.”

Casey’s is the second company to join the data center. Iowa Health System also stores patient and employee records there. Unique security features in the building design include: retina scanners for personal identification, the ability to withstand an F4 tornado, 14-24 inch concrete and steel reinforced walls, a fire detection system that can identify smoke molecules present at 1/100th of a percent, and multiple levels of redundancy and backup (built upon an N+1 schema methodology).

The TEAM Technologies Data Center met strict regulatory requirements by Casey’s. “Casey’s General Stores, Inc., is excited about our selection of TEAM Technologies to host our computer equipment in their new Des Moines metro data center.
